Privacy Policy
Effective November 3, 2026. Daily Banana (dailybanana.io) is a free daily guessing game run by Smidgen Games LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you play, why, and what choices you have.
What we collect

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, payment details, passwords or anything from your device beyond what is listed here. We never see your Google or Discord password. We do not run ads, and we do not sell or rent your information.
Stored on your device
The game saves your settings (like light or dark theme), results, streak, badges, quick play history and, if you sign in, a sign-in token in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes it. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who helps us run Daily Banana
We share data only with services that help us operate the game, and only what they need:
- Netlify hosts the website, runs our server functions and stores game and account data.
- Google provides "Sign in with Google" if you choose to use it, and serves the game's fonts (Google Fonts), which means Google receives your browser's IP address when the page loads.
- Discord provides "Sign in with Discord" if you choose to use it.
Google and Discord handle your sign-in under their own privacy policies. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the game and its players from fraud or abuse.
Public and shared information
Your account name is never shown publicly unless you use it on a challenge. When you make or play a challenge, the name you enter, your score and your emoji results are visible to anyone who has that challenge's link. Share text you copy from the results screen contains only your score and emoji grid. Your email address is never shown to other players.
How long we keep it
We keep account details and saved games until you delete your account. Visit and daily play logs are tied to a random device ID and kept while Daily Banana is running so stats stay accurate. Challenges stop taking new players after 24 hours; their scoreboards may be kept so players can look back at them.
Your choices
- You can play without an account. Everything then stays in your browser on that device.
- Signed in, you can rename yourself, sign out or delete your account from the game's Menu. Deleting your account removes your account details and saved games from our servers right away.
- Email us at contact@dailybanana.io to ask for a copy of your data, to remove your name from a challenge scoreboard, or to delete what has been logged from your device. We'll respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your data. Contact us to use them.
Children
Daily Banana is not directed to children under 13, and accounts are not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored with providers that use industry-standard security. Sign-ins are checked on our server with Google or Discord before an account is opened. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. For significant changes we'll show a notice in the game.

Terms of Service
Effective November 3, 2026. By playing Daily Banana you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
1. The game
Daily Banana is a free size-guessing game run by Smidgen Games LLC. It is in beta, so features, scoring, items, sizes and puzzles may change, reset or break while we improve it. We may pause, change or end the game at any time.
2. Sizes are estimates
Every size in the game is an approximation based on typical sizes from publicly available sources, rounded for play. Real things vary. Don't rely on the game for real measurements.
3. Accounts
You don't need an account to play. If you sign in with Google or Discord, you're responsible for your account and for keeping access to that Google or Discord login. You can delete your account at any time from the Menu.
4. Names and challenges
Names you choose and use on challenges must not be hateful, harassing, sexual, impersonating someone else or otherwise offensive. We may change or remove names, scores and challenges that break these terms.
5. Playing fair
You agree not to:
- Use bots, scripts or automation to play or post scores
- Tamper with scores, the timer, stats, challenges or the game's code or servers
- Flood the game with junk entries or try to disrupt it for others
- Copy or resell the game, its item lists or its daily puzzles
We may remove scores or results that we believe were produced by cheating.
6. Our content
The Daily Banana name, design, code, item lists, sizes, puzzles and artwork belong to Smidgen Games LLC or its licensors. You may share your results and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Third-party services
Hosting and sign-in rely on outside providers: Netlify, Google and Discord (see the Privacy Policy). We aren't responsible for their services.
8. No warranty
Daily Banana is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the game will be error-free or always available, or that sizes and scores will match your expectations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Smidgen Games LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data such as scores, streaks or badges. Our total liability for any claim relating to Daily Banana is limited to US $50.
10. Ending use
You can stop playing at any time and delete your account from the Menu. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms. Sections 6, 8, 9 and 11 continue after your use ends.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, show a notice in the game. Continuing to play means you accept the updated terms.
